Tim France

The Pahrump Valley Museum and Historical Society would like to invite the community to our next lecture on June 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with our own historian, Tim France.

Tim is going to share with us the history of the Pahrump Store, which is on the museum's back lot. The Pahrump Store was originally built in 1905 and has some interesting tales attached to it.

Tim moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1997 when he started learning about his new home. Getting tired of living in Las Vegas, he moved to Pahrump in 2004. Tim is a collector of historic maps and journals, which he is always actively searching for. Using the information in his collection, Tim searches the southwestern United States looking for undocumented sites. When a new site is located, he documents it with photos, video and Virtual Reality Tours.

Tim is the current President of the Board of Directors for the Pahrump Valley Museum and provides invaluable research for the museum.

The lecture will be held at the Pahrump Valley Museum and Historical Society at 1:00 pm and admission is free. The Pahrump Valley Museum is located at 401 East Basin Avenue, west of Highway 160, turn on Ford Place. If you have any questions please contact the Museum at 775-751-1970, Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
